In Islamic teachings, there are minimum and maximum expectations about educating children. The key question is: what advantages do parents achieve in being aware of parenting process, and what are minimum expectations of Islam from parents in parenting process? This study attempts to explain the importance of being aware of parenting process from the perspective of Islam and psychology, and to extract the expectations of Islam from parents about parenting. This study applied a descriptive-analytical and Ijtihadi method. Thinking deeply and applying Ijtihad in Islamic and educational-psychological teachings results into a conclusion that parents have different expectations about parenting. The minimum (not maximum) expectations of Islam in parenting process are as follows: 1. the importance of responsible interaction with children; 2. the observance of priorities in parenting; 3. taking advantage of smart encouragement and punishment; 4. putting an emphasis on cognitive change; 5. strengthening self-control in children; 6. appropriate negligence; 7. intimate behavior with children; 8. the observance of alignment with biological and psychological changes; 9. being tolerant of children. یکی از توقعّات مهم از والدین در نظام خانواده، آموزش و پرورش فرزندان به گونه‌ای هم‌تراز‌ با هنجارهای اخلاقی، اجتماعی، دینی و فرهنگی است. در آموزه‌های اسلامی توقعات حداقلّی و حداکثری در رابطه با آموزش و پرورش فرزندان وجود دارد.  پرسش اساسی این است که فواید آگاهی والدین از فرایند فرزندپروری چیست و توقعات (انتظارات) حداقلّی اسلام از والدین در فرایند فرزندپروری کدام است؟ در این پژوهش تلاش می‌شود تا افزون ‌بر تبیین اهمیت آگاهی والدین از فرایند فرزندپروری از دیدگاه اسلام و دانش روان‌شناسی، به استخراج و استنباط توقعّات اسلام از والدین درباره فرزندپروری پرداخته شود. پژوهش حاضر از روش توصیفی−تحلیلی و اجتهادی بهره برده است که از تتبع و ژرف‌اندیشی و اجتهاد در آموزه‌های اسلامی و آموزه‌های تربیتی−روان‌شناختی می‌توان نتیجه گرفت که توقعات مختلفی از والدین در مورد فرزندپروری وجود دارد. توقعات حداقلّی (نه حداکثری) اسلام در فرایند فرزندپروری عبارت است از: 1. لزوم تعامل مسئولانه با فرزند؛ 2. رعایت اولویت‌ها در فرزندپروری؛ <br /> 3. بهره‌گیری از تشویق و تنبیه هوشمندانه؛ 4. تأکید بر تحوّل شناختی؛ 5. تقویت خودکنترلی در فرزندان؛ 6. تغافل بجا؛ 7. رفتار صمیمانه با فرزندان؛ 8. رعایت هم‌ترازی با تحولات زیستی و روان‌شناختی فرزندان؛ 9. مدارا و نرم‌کُنشی با فرزندان. https://islamicpsy.rihu.ac.ir/article_1784_a2f6cb618f312ded59bf3282c38b0b54.pdf
