The results revealed that there is positive correlation between </em>character strength<em> with integrative self – knowledge, mindfulness and individual intrinsic – extrinsic religious orientation. </em>Regression analysis<em> indicated that integrative self – knowledge , among afore – mentioned variables, plays the most effective role in determining various </em>character strength<em>s, moreover, among all forms of religiosity, intrinsic orientation was the only form to determine variety of </em>character strength<em>s. After controlling self- knowing procedures (applying hierarchical regression), intrinsic religious orientation succeeded in determining great deal of behavioral capabilities</em> هدف این پژوهش، بررسی نقش فرایندهای خودشناختی و جهت‌گیری دینی در «توان‌مندی‌های خوی» بود. 315 دانشجو (227 مرد و 88 زن) به پرسشنامه‌های ذیل پاسخ دادند: مقیاس خودشناسی‌ِ انسجامی (قربانی و همکاران، 2008)، مقیاس بهوشیاری (براون و ریان، 2003)، مقیاس بازنگری‌شده جهت‌گیری دینی (هیل، 1999) و پرسشنامه ارزش‌ها در عمل: ابراز قابلیت خود (پترسون، 2004). نتایج نشان داد که توان­مندی‌های خوی با خودشناسی انسجامی، بهوشیاری و جهت‌گیری دینی درونی و جهت‌گیری دینی بیرونی فردی، همبستگی مثبت دارد. تحلیل رگرسیون نشان داد که از میان متغیرهای پیش‌بین، خودشناسی‌ِانسجامی، بیشترین نقش را در تبیین واریانس توان­مندی‌های خوی دارد و از میان انواع دین­داری، فقط جهت‌گیری‌دینی درونی توانست واریانس توان­مندی‌های خوی را تببین کند. پس از کنترل فرایندهای خودشناختی (از طریق رگرسیون سلسله مراتبی)، جهت‌گیری‌دینی درونی توانست مقادیر معناداری از توان­مندی‌های خوی را تبیین کند https://islamicpsy.rihu.ac.ir/article_908_36430726abff5f98874b78935e6f0916.pdf
