Abstract

The purpose of the present research was to delve into the relationship between "one's perception of God" with "psychoticism" among students of Tehran and Iran medical sciences universities. In so doing, 237 students were selected applying proportional sampling procedure. God Image Inventory (Lawrence, 1997) and Scale of Psychoticism in Symptom Checklist-90-Revised (Deragotis et al., 1973) were applied to them. Data analysis through multiple regression revealed that students' psychoticism is totally predictable through "their perception of God". Furthermore, the results showed that the students who enjoyed more receptive and positive perception of God proved to be less psychotic. While those having negative perception of God were more psychotic. Theoretical implications as well as practical applications of results are presented in the original article.
