Abstract

The purpose of the present study was to investigate the role of psychological flexibility, emotional empathy and spiritual experiences in predicting marital satisfaction of married women. The research method was a correlational description. The statistical population of the research included all married women in Qom city. To determine the sample size, Tabachnik and Fidel's law was used and 250 married women were selected by available sampling method. In order to collect data, four Enrich Marital Satisfaction Questionnaires (EMS), Acceptance and Action - Second Edition (AAQ-II), Mehrabian and Epstein Emotional Empathy (EES) and Daily Spiritual Experiences (DSES) were used. The obtained data were analyzed using Pearson's correlation test and multiple regression analysis. The findings showed that marital satisfaction has a positive and significant relationship with psychological flexibility, emotional empathy and spiritual experiences, respectively. According to the regression analysis, psychological flexibility to a greater extent and emotional empathy and spiritual experiences to a lesser extent can predict marital satisfaction; Therefore, it can be said that psychological flexibility, emotional empathy and spiritual experiences play a great role in the marital satisfaction of married women.
