Abstract

The aim of this study is to investigate the change objectives from Nahjul Balagheh's view in comparison with the change objectives from psychology's view. Thus, the classification system of content analysis of 22 classes as the tool of this study was created by combining 16 classes of change objectives from Nahjul Balagheh with 6 classes of change objectives from psychology via qualitative and quantitative content analysis methodology. The change priorities in the Imam Ali's sayings and psychology were identified through the information quantified by two analyzers with the help of quantitative content analysis and calculating the frequencies and the correlation coefficient between the classes. The change priorities show that the most important common objectives between them are self-actualization, environmental consistency, and tension decrease. Based on the Imam Ali's sayings, the most important change objectives are reason, teleological thinking, and self-actualization. Also the statistical assessments show that there is a meaningful relationship among some classes of change objectives such as cooperation, teleological thinking, and humility. In addition, there is an overlap between some psychological concepts and the Imam Ali's sayings.
