Semi-annual Journal of Studies in Islam and Psychology is an open-access, double-blind, peer-reviewed journal published by Research Institute of Hawzah and University (RIHU), the leading research institute in Islamic Humanities and Social Sciences in Iran. Studies in Islam and Psychology has been established as the first scientific publication in the field of psychology with an Islamic approach in Iran to provide an intellectual platform for national and international researchers working on issues related to Islamic psychology. The journal has tried to study the issues and problems in this field with the help of specialists and researchers of the field and provide the ground for the growth and prosperity of studies in Islam and psychology in the country. The journal of Studies in Islam and Psychology has started its activity since 2007.The Journal was founded in as a response to quick advancements in psychology and was dedicated to the publication of highest-quality research studies that report findings on issues of great concern to the profession of Islamic psychology.
To allow for easy and worldwide access to the most updated research findings, the journal is set to be an open-access journal. Yet, the journal does not charge any fee for reviewing, processing, and publishing research papers from the authors or from the research institutes and organizations. All the mentioned processes for paper publication are sponsored by the Research Institute of Hawzah and University Press.
The journal is published in both a print version and an online version.
