Journal of Studies in Islam and Psychology (JSIP) is an open access, double-blind, peer-reviewed quarterly journal, owned, managed, and published by Research Institute of Hawzah and University (RIHU) since 2007. Journal of Studies in Islam and Psychology is devoted to Islamic studies of psychological processes and phenomena. This journal provides a means for sustained discussion of psychologically relevant issues that can be examined empirically and concern Islam in the most general sense. Journal of Studies in Islam and Psychology has been established as the first scientific publication in the field of psychology with an Islamic approach in Iran to provide an intellectual platform for national and international researchers working on issues related to Islamic psychology and counselling. This journal welcomes and reviews original research related to the relationship between other religions and social sciences. The journal publishes articles employing experimental and correlational methods, qualitative analyses, and critical reviews of the literature. Papers evaluating clinically relevant issues surrounding training, professional development, and practice are also considered. It presents articles covering a variety of important topics, such as Islamic philosophy of psychology, psychological analysis of Islamic concepts, psychology and society, Islamic psychology and counselling, faith-based theoretical understanding of human Psychology from the perspective of Islam, the connection between mental health and Islamic spirituality, the application of the main concepts of Islamic Psychology in the practice of Islamic Counselling, Islāmic psychology and psychotherapy, and the theoretical and practical perspectives of psychology and the Islamic sciences.

Article Processing Charges (APC)
Research Institute of Hawzah and University is supporting most of the publishing costs of the Journal of Studies in Islam and Psychology. However, to fulfill the remained part of publications fees, the journal ask authors Article Processing Charge (APC). If the article is accepted, the corresponding author will be charged for 6,000,000 Rials as for Article Processing Charge (APC).

Journal of Studies in Islam and Psychology is published as an open access electronic journal, so there is no subscription fee for audiences.
