The present paper is concerned with the relationship of "affective family environment" and "religious orientation" with "addiction tendency" among students of Islamic Azad University of Ahvaz. 200 subjects (100 male students and 100 female students) were selected using stratified random sampling technique. Three questionnaires were used for data collection: Affective Family Environment Scale, Allport's Religious Orientation Scale (ROS), Zargar's Addiction Tendency Scale. The method of the present research is of correlational type. Data analysis was performed using Pearson's correlation coefficient and multi- variant regression. The results (at p<0.0001 level) showed that there was a meaningful relationship between affective family environment and religious orientation with addition tendency. Regression also showed that affective family environment was a predictable variable for addiction tendency.
