The present research aimed at investigating the meaning of life from the view point of Imam Ali (pbuh). Among all narrations quoted from Imam Ali, NahjAlbalaghah was chosen as the source containing the highest number of narrations. Having investigating NahjAlbalaghah, the researchers selected and analyzed the intended Hadiths through religious reasoning as well as conceptual and historical analysis. The data, having been collected, was categorized and validated inductively and deductively. The results confirmed the possibility of achieving a conceptual pattern for life in conformity with Imam Ali’s teachings and with Islam in general. This pattern covers numerous modern psychological patterns for seeking the meaning of life. Thus, this model can be utilized to illustrate the meaning of life and also to improve methods of psychotherapy in order to help clients figure out the meaning of their lives.
