This study aims to examine some of the social constituents of mental health in Nahjul Balaghah and it seeks to answer the question as to whether, on the basis of the teachings of Nahjul Balaghah, the social causes such as economic labor and activity, social relations, receiving support from others and government have an impact on mental health. For this reason, doctrines and concepts related to the said subject have been discussed and analyzed through an inferential method and a theoretical analysis. The findings show that according to Imam Ali (a.s.), mental health is greatly influenced by social factors such as economic labor and activity, social relations, solidarity and national unity, especially state and government and the way the authorities behave with the people.
