Investigating the effect of Islamic lifestyle on academic self-efficacy with the mediating role of happiness among students

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to investigate the effect of Islamic lifestyle on academic self-efficacy with the role of mediator of happiness among students of educational sciences at Farhangian University of Urmia. The current research is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive-correlation in terms of data collection. The statistical population of the study included all male and female students of Shahid Rajaei and Allameh Tabatabai districts of Farhangian University of Urmia with a volume of 1650 people, of which 312 were selected through stratified random sampling. The required data were collected using three standard questionnaires of Islamic lifestyle, happiness and academic self-efficacy and were analyzed using the statistical test of the structural equation model using the partial least squares (PLS) method for the research hypotheses. The findings of the research showed that the Islamic lifestyle is 88% effective on students' happiness and 43% on academic self-efficacy. Happiness has a 53% effect on academic self-efficacy. Also, the Islamic lifestyle with the mediator role of happiness has a 52% effect on students' academic self-efficacy. Therefore, according to the statistical results, all the hypotheses of the research were confirmed and the general result of the research was that happiness has a mediating role between the relationship between Islamic lifestyle and academic self-efficacy of students.
